Tips for Getting More Traffic to Your Site

When submitting your site to Yahoo, there are some things you should keep in mind to help you get more traffic to your site. There are many creative ways you can do this.

 

  1. Make sure you get your website placed at the top of the search engines. Generate content that is useful to your site. Keeping your content fresh is a way to do this. All content must be original. If you do not have original work, your website will be placed at the bottom as search engines will be able to detect this.
  2. Use backlinks for your site. By doing this, search engines will automatically index your websites. There will be no need to submit the sites to search engines if you use backlinks. Make sure all links work and that none of them are broken.
  3. Use keywords. This can not be stressed enough. Keywords are important to getting traffic to your site. This allows users to find your site when they type in what they are looking for. Make sure that the keywords are related to your site though and do not overdo it with them. If you do, you may risk being placed at the bottom of the search engine once again.
  4. Consider advertising your site if you have the means to do so. There are many creative ways to do this. Advertise your site on social network sites, leave business cards at places you frequent, ask people to tell others by word of mouth about your site, place flyers in places where many will see, or advertise in a local newspaper. You can even advertise your site on your personal vehicle if you have the means to do so.
  5. Never spam anyone about your website. No one likes a spammer and this is a good way to receive bad word of mouth.

Very right about these points specially keyword selection and backlinks. If you select the right keywords which should be target. Surly it can bring traffic to your website similarly using backlinks for getting traffic is a effective technique. In which you need to follow the rules of website to make a backlink and similarly good reply to get traffic from there...

According to me easy way to get backlinks are :

Create a Hubpage

Create a Squidoo Lens

Create a blog for your contents

Write a press release

Create Youtube Videos

Create Podcasts

Comment on relevant blogs and forum

Thank you for sharing this to everyone. This post is very useful in regards of getting more traffic for our site because traffic is very important. For me in getting traffic it is not important if it is a do follow link or no follow as long as it help you to increase the traffic of your site but of course do it in a proper way.

search engine optimization helps you to increase traffic to your website .traffic is nothing that increasing the number of visitors to your site .this helps to increase the page rank of your web site in all search engines .seo services are available both at free of cost and paid service . free services include forum posting ,blog submitting , Directory submission ,Article Submission etc... but it take some amount of time to increase your traffic .

Here are some tips for seo to get more traffic,
1.Insert keywords within the title tag so that search engine robots will know what your page is about.
2. Use the same keywords as anchor text to link to the page from different pages on your site.
3. Make sure that the text within the title tag is also within the body of the page.
4. Do not use the exact same title tag on every page on your website.
5. Do not spam the description or keyword meta tag by stuffing meaningless keywords.
6. Describe your images with the use of the alt tags.,
