It seems to me that iTunes is a good platform for promoting your music. I’m not an SMM specialist and have never promoted songs on iTunes, but I know that here  https://smoservice.net/itunes/itunes-top-trending/  you will find useful services and tools to advance in this. It seems to me that you need to learn more about promotion on social networks, but if you have quality content, then you will quickly become popular and will be able to get many subscribers if you use such services. I think that over time you will figure it out or be able to hire an SMM specialist to help you.

I think the basic sites are: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, and YouTube, obviously. I prefer using the last one.  I do editing music and videos quite often and I have always used this youtube converter for downloading quality mp3 files. It's free and I can really single it out from a vast range of such sites as it seems to be more convenient and there’re fewer ads ? It also works with all the platforms listed above, you can try it out.

I can tell you from my own experience that you need to support your husband in his hobbies and then there will be peace and understanding in your family. My husband has been playing Kala ukulele for many years and this is his hobby. He has a permanent job, which brings a good income, but at the same time he wants to develop as a musician. I support him in every possible way and he is happy. Even when I had to buy a new tool that site which costs a lot of money, I didn’t forbid him to do it. I would like to advise you to find common interests with your husband and support him, and only then happiness will come to your family.

I suppose that the best platforms are YouTube, SoundCloud and Bandcamp. I do quite a lot of music editing and I usually use youtube as the platform to download music from. I've been using this youtube downloader app for a while for this purpose and I can strongly recommend it if you need a fast an reliable converter too. It's especially useful when you need to download big amounts of music as it downloads up to 99 sings at once. While I prefer using it on my andoid phone, there're options for pc (win/mac) so you can download music to literally any device you wish.
