Hi Friends,

A site map is a list of pages of a web site. There are three primary kinds of site map: Site maps used during the planning of a Web site by its designers. Human-visible listings, typically hierarchical, of the pages on a site. Structured listings intended for web crawlers such as search engines.

Hello,

From an SEO standpoint, every website should have a sitemap. A sitemap enables Google and other search engines to better crawl your site, as it provides the search engine crawlers with the organization of your site’s content. In allowing search engine crawlers to more intelligently crawl your site, you can improve your search result rankings and bring in more traffic. That is as long as your site’s content is well-prepared and appealing to web users.

Sitemap is an XML file that is full of your individual webpage's URLs. It's like an archive of every web page in your website. This file should be easily discoverable in your site in order for search engine crawlers to stumble upon it.

A sitemap is a file where you provide information about the pages, videos, and other files on your site, and the relationships between them. Search engines like Google read this file to more intelligently crawl your site. A sitemap tells Google which pages and files you think are important in your site, and also provides valuable information about these files: for example, for pages, when the page was last updated, how often the page is changed, and any alternate language versions of a page.
