How can I see what pages are indexed in Google?

Recommended Posts

Hi Friends,
There are two ways to see if the webpages of any specific website are indexed by Google.

1) One can check the Google Index Status of any specific website through Google Webmaster tools. After adding the website on the dashboard and verifying the ownership, clicking on the tab “Index status” would show the numbers of pages indexed by Google.

2) One can also perform a manual search on Google by typing on Google search bar site:domainname.com, and the number of pages indexed would reflect on the SERP.

manual checks

Google Webmaster Tools allows anyone to check the Google index status of a particular website. After adding the website to the dashboard and verifying ownership, clicking on the "Index status" tab will show Google the number of indexed pages.

You can easily get an overview of the indexed pages for your domain within the Google Search Console.
Option #2: Using the Google Search Console
  1. Log into the Google Search Console and select the desired website.
  2. Click on “Google Index” in the left-hand navigation.
  3. Click on “Index Status” in the sub-menu.

To see which pages on your site are in the Google index, you can do a Google Web Search for "site:mywebsite.com". If you want more pages included in the Google index, use the Google Search Console to submit indexing requests. These requests will change the index for both Google search and your search engine.
