What are outbound Links?

An outbound link is a hyperlink that points at a targeted or external domain and is different from the links present on the Source domain. For example, if you provide links of other third-party web pages on your website, those would be external links to your site.

Outbound links bear great importance in SEO as they provide your web pages with more quality and value for the search engine ranking. Google search engine counts outbound links as third-party votes which improve the ranking of your web page.

Outbound links or OBLs are links that link your website to another. They don’t provide a lot of value to you, in fact, depending on the structure of the OBL they may dilute the SEO done to your site.OBLs can be do-follow or no-follow. Do-follow links are standard and will pass authority and “link juice” to the domain you’re linking to. No-follow will stop Google crawling the link and will not pass any value to the site you are linking to.

Outbound links are the links which leads from your website to other websites and they can be dofollow or nofollow, depends of how you tag them in html (or CMS). Dofollow links will transfer some of your website’s link juice to another website. It means if you have a high-authority website, the other one will get some of that authority also. Nofollow link will transfer nothing. They will just point to another website without any juice passing.
