What is the difference between an article and a blog post?

A blog used to be a way for people to express themselves online through their personal ramblings. These blogs were the digital version of a diary (or log). They were mostly run by individuals and had very little purpose other than to explain what the person did or how they were feeling.An article is normally a very formal piece of writing that is thoroughly researched and contains specific details. Often they will include an opinion that is backed up with several statistics or case studies on a topic that is relevant to the author or the publishing base.

First of all you need to know that they both are very similar things but at the same time hell apart. A blog is mainly the field or place where you can advert your ideas to and BOOM, you are spreading your ideologies, philosophy, your thoughts, your knowledge and your, most importantly, experience...And Now about articles, it is basically a single page of something that you write upon from a certain huge topic.

Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. where as The article is usually on a well-defined topic or topics that are related in some way, such as a factual account of a newsworthy event. The writer of a well-written article is seen as objective and showing all sides to an issue. The sources for a news story should be identified and reliable.
